I've been imagining stories all my life - some of them my own, some of them involving characters of books that I've loved. In November of 2004 with the advent of the Mugglenet Harry Potter Fanfiction archive, I discovered that a lot of people write down those stories that they get in their heads. So, I started writing down the stories in my head, and I haven't looked back. Most of my fanfiction is in the Potterverse, though I've recently started writing Firefly fic. My favourite pairings are the odd/scandalous ones. In the Potterverse I do not have any specific ships, though I often enjoy reading Hermione/Snape, Ginny/Remus, Ginny/Sirius and Remus/Bill. In the Firefly verse, I started out with Mal/River, but find myself firmly in the River/Jayne camp now. In real life, I'm a college (university) educated adult. A mother and a wife. I make my living as a retail cashier (though formerly I was a film projectionist - a dying art). I've lived in 3 countries, including four different states in the USA. While by no means fluent, I know a good bit of Dutch and French and I've taken Spanish and Latin as well. I enjoy reading (duh), cooking, watching movies, road trips, camping, and fangurling incredible authors ;-p My favourite genres are fantasy, romance and occasionally mystery and sci-fi. My favourite authors are (in no particular order) JKR, JRR Tolkien, CS Lewis, Nora Roberts, Mary Balogh, Johanna Lindsay, Madeleine L'engle, Christopher Paolini, Elizabeth Lowell, Terry Brooks, RA Salvatore, Shakespeare... and so so so many more ;) I don't watch TV very often, didn't catch Firefly until it was on DVD and the other show I'm conversant in is Gilmore Girls, but not the current season. My favourite movies include M*A*S*H, The original Star Wars Trilogy, Operation Pettycoat, The Adventures of Priscilla Queen of the Desert, and Disney's Beauty and the Beast. A general disclaimer and warning: I make no money off of my fanfiction, nor do I have any intention to make any money. Reviews are all I get (and I love 'em). No copyright infringement is intended, nor is any disrespect. Please, if you like my work, check out the source material (if you haven't already.) I promise that the original works are a hundred times better than what I write. Also, I'm an adult, a lot of my writing contains material that is NOT suitable for a younger audience. I try to place obvious warnings where it's applicable... but beware. Also, I often deal with sensitive and controversial subjects. If you're looking for G-rated fluff, this isn't really the place.
